On November 13, the Mexican American Cultural Center became the setting for one of the most notable intellectual gatherings of the year. As part of the 4th Annual Event of the Center for Character Formation, renowned Mexican jurist and academic Dr. José Antonio Lozano Díez delivered the keynote lecture “The Three Challenges of Artificiality,” a thoughtful reflection on the role of artificiality in contemporary life.
Since 2014, El Paso’s Center for Character Formation, an organization made up of professionals committed to character-based leadership, has promoted events that strengthen ethics, integrity, and service in the region. Its annual gathering once again brought together thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and specialists to discuss the challenges facing society today.
This year, the conversation focused on how artificiality has shaped human dynamics in areas such as education, work, and interpersonal relationships. The event fostered an atmosphere of collective reflection centered on individual and community responsibility in the face of these changes.
Dr. José Antonio Lozano Díez, offered a critical and interdisciplinary perspective. Lozano, President of the Board of Governors of the Universidad Panamericana and IPADE Business School, is recognized for his work on ethics, philosophy, and governance. Throughout his career, he has examined the moral and social implications of emerging technologies and their impact on the human condition.
His participation provided the audience with a clear and thoughtful approach to contemporary dilemmas arising from hyperconnectivity, artificial intelligence, and digital culture.

El pasado 13 de noviembre, el Mexican American Cultural Center se convirtió en el escenario de una de las citas intelectuales más destacadas del año. En el marco del 4º Evento Anual del Center for Character Formation, el reconocido jurista y académico mexicano Dr. José Antonio Lozano Díez presentó la conferencia “Los Tres Desafíos de la Artificialidad”, una reflexión profunda sobre el papel de lo artificial en la vida contemporánea.
Desde 2014, El Paso’s Center for Character Formation, una organización compuesta por profesionales comprometidos con el liderazgo basado en carácter, ha impulsado encuentros que fortalecen la ética, la integridad y el servicio en la región. Su evento anual volvió a reunir a líderes de opinión, emprendedores y especialistas para dialogar sobre los retos que enfrenta la sociedad actual.
